Dozens Hurt During Testing of Jimi Van Whalen’s New Touring Guitar Rig

In a sad story, dozens of people, some more than a mile away, were inadvertently injured during testing of Hair Metal Radio guitarist Jimi Van Whalen’s new guitar rig. The rig was so loud it literally blew the roof off the test facility, scattering debris over a 1-mile radius.

The rig, consisting of 24 100 Watt Laney amps, is currently under development, and is to be used during Hair Metal Radio’s 2015-2016 world tour. The tour is in support of their upcoming album, Turd in the Punchbowl.

In response, Van Whalen is quoted as saying “It’s cool. Getting close, but it’s not loud enough.”
