Born in Van Nuys, CA (known back then as just “Nuys” but eventually renamed in Jimi’s honor), Jimi has 17 children, all sons, all from different mothers, and all conceived on the exact same day. One of his biological sons now plays bass for Van Halen, a band that stole Jimi’s style, solos, ideas, hair, original lead singer, and drug habits.

A veteran of many notable L.A. bands including Assless Chaps, Stank, Sniffer’s Row, and Frogfinger, Jimi decided to step out on his own and form Hair Metal Radio, or “HMR”.

Originally playing all the instruments himself, he decided the HMR stage show would be more impressive if he recruited some talented people to perform with. After failing to find any talented people he ended up with the band he’s in now.

Jimi is easily the most exceptional member of the band. He told us we had to use the phrase “Exceptional Member” in his biography or he’d fire the entire band. Again.
